The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Bovine Functional Genomics Laboratory, Beltsville MD intends to make an fixed-price award on a sole source basis to Illumina, Inc, San Diego, CA 92121, pursuant to 41.U.S.C.253 (c)(1) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement The chemistry and reagents are specific to Illumina products and are not compatible with any other manufacturer's equipments, for the purchase of the following items:
 (1) FC-104-5001-(24 units) TruSeq SBS Kit v5 - GA (36 cycle) Master mixed reagents for 36 Cycle Sequencing Kit on the Genome Analyzer with improved accuracy and support for up to 2x150bp read lengths. 

 (2) PE-300-1001-(5 units) Paired-End Cluster Generation Kit for cBot; Kitted reagent for use with cBot Cluster Generation System includes: Flow Cell, reagent plate, and cBot manifold. 

 (3) PE-102-1001- (3 units) Kitted reagents for PE Sample Preparation up to 10 DNA samples, for on-going research.

 Illumina is the sole distributer of products it manufactures; therefore the government needs can only be satisfied by Illumina directly.   Ordering from another source would compromise experiments and compromise the integrity of data.
