Subject fo final approval, The Bureau of the Fiscal Services (BFS), on behalf of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) intends to award a sole source award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to The American Assoctiation for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) - 5202 Presidents Ct Ste 220 Frederick, MD, 21703-8515 for the purpose of Lab Accreditation. The requirement entails the Contractor's service to come to both the Beltsville, MD and Walnut Creek, CA labs to performance onsite Lab Audit and provide accreditation certification.

A2LA is the accrediting body that holds the TTB's current accreditation certificate. This is a re-assessment year for TTB's exisiting accreditation for both labs.

The BFS will consider all affirmative responses received no later than February 5, 2017 @ 2:00 PM ET. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show how it will be in the best interest of the government to switch providers for this requirement. A request for information will not be considered an affirmative response. Responses to this request can be emailed to [email protected] - Attention: RH/MG SS-TTB-17-018. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all the requirement and that is more beneficial to the government, we intend to make an award to American Association for Laboratory Accreditation.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
