Delivery of Tungsten Carbide Parts

The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Armaments Center (JA), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the US Army Armaments, Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is conducting market research to identify potential companies who are capable of the following:

• Planned Acquisition: Annual delivery orders exceeding 863k parts per year
• Specification: Tungsten carbide parts with diameters ranging from 0.1250 inches to 0.500 inches and a tolerance of +0.0000/-0.0008 inches for a given nominal diameter. Cemented tungsten carbide components shall contain cobalt content of 12 (+/- 0.5) %; Density: 0.520 lb per cubic inch; Hardness: Greater Than HV30 1260; Transverse Rupture Strength: Greater Than 435 ksi
• Supplier Requirements: 1) All manufacturing of cemented tungsten carbide components shall be performed on site of the supplier; 2) All manufacturing operations shall be performed in the United States; 3) Supplier shall be ITAR compliant. Submission Information: Request interested parties provide the following information: 1) Capability to produce 500k parts per year and lead time to deliver 500k parts from the time of purchase. 2) Description of facility and equipment where parts will be manufactured 3) Description of manufacturing and inspection process 4) ISO Certification (If available) 5) Relevant current contracts with the USG 6) DUNS Number and CAGE Code 7) Are you currently ITAR compliant?

Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed, any in-house research and development effort, and any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement. All information is to be submitted via email (10MB limit) at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small and provide your DUNS and CAGE Code. Please provide the name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The Government will accept written questions by email. Interested firms/companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification data NO LATER THAN 22 December, 2016.
