The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Central Acquisition Service has a requirement to procure MUMPS Training for Programmers. This requirement is to provide VA-tailored MUMPS language training for 15 personnel at VAMC – Salisbury, NC on April 24-28, 2006. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The VA intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order with Pioneer Data Systems, 3710 Running Fox Dr, Marietta, GA, 30062-1013. The NAICS code for this procurement is 611420. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer within 7 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by April 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. (local time). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
