The U.S. Military Academy is seeking sources for a two phase Language Initiative. Award will be made on an all or none basis. The goal of this Language Imitative is to create and deliver pro chievement test and scoring materials in eight languages in which regionalisms and dialects present particular ratings challenges. The contractor shall develop and generate pro chievement to the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Persian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish t o measure student progress at the Intermediate level. Tests must comply with Interagency Language Roundtable standards. Phase one will work to identify rating issues that are specific to testing spoken Arabic and will serve as a model for consensus build ing for the other languages. Phase two will create the pro chievement tests to measure student progress at the Intermediate level in 8 languages. The tests will include reading comprehension items, vocabulary and language structure. Completion will be 12 0 days from date of award.
