This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additonal information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Virginia Beach, Virginia has a potential requirement to procure the following: Clin 0001, Roco Tactical Container Access Course of Instruction. Course provides training for Department of Defense personnel to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to safely access complex elevated locations through realistic scenarios. Students will learn to perform skills such as, use of the Roco Insertion Extraction System (RIES), Aid/lead climbing, Use of mechanical advantages, state the hierarchy of fall protection, perform work positioning exercises, acquire a confined space awareness certification. At the end of the course students understanding their capabilities working at height on a variety of containers enhancing their mission capabilities. Contract must provide tactical confine space kit, atmospheric monitors, rope access equipment. Course should take palce in Houston Texas, for the period 27 November through 1 December 2006.
