Project Description: Resurfacing of existing FMI dock entrance. Resurface area is partial and shown on drawing by KGH SK1 attached in this RFP. Project should be completed off hours over a weekend. Phase one will be stripping/scarifying of existing asphalt and concrete. Phase two is application of a fluid applied water proofing membrane. Phase three is the topping application of concrete. Bidders shall consider working hours to be Friday afternoons 2PM until the following Monday morning at 6AM. No work shall occur Monday 6AM-Friday 2PM unless the work can be completed in time for the following day's deliveries. For example: the application of the concrete topping shall be installed with enough cure time to drive on the next date in service. Scope of Work Narrative: The FMI loading dock is a critical location for UCM/BSD in that most construction deliveries and personnel use this dock for material deliveries as well as debris removal. This dock houses all the dumpsters (3 of them) and they are swapped out quite often. The dock also services the Billings kitchen and daily deliveries are critical to the operation of the kitchen. Work on this project has to occur when the dock is not in use on the weekends. The work will have to be phased in accordance with the hours stated in the description. Work shall consist of the following: Removal of the existing asphalt and concrete slab as required to get to a depth where we can properly pour and properly slope towards existing drains 5" min. of new concrete topping and fiber reinforcement. Installation of a new hydrotech reinforced membrane on the removed concrete topping. Installation of new 5" minimum concrete topping with fiber reinforcement. If the project can be safely split into phases allowing for access and deliveries then this may be an option. Coordination and containments shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor shall remove all bollards and other items that are in the area of the scope of work. Once completed the contractor shall reinstall any removed items. A pre-bid walk-through has been scheduled for Wednesday 10/13 @ 9:00AM. If you are interested in attending please reach out to Jake Merel ([email protected]) to confirm. RFIs are due Noon on Tuesday October 19th (10/20/21 @ 12:00PM) Bids are due by Noon on Thursday October 21nd (10/21/21 @ 12:00PM) Please let us know if you are interested in bidding. Thank you, F.H.
