The University of Georgia Office of the University Architects (Using Agency) on behalf of the Board of Regents of The University System of Georgia (Owner) is soliciting responses from Design Professionals interested in and capable of providing professional design services for the Phase 1 Renovation of Building #1013 on the campus of The University of Georgia at Athens, Georgia A project description is provided below: The Building #1013 Renovation Phase 1 will support comprehensive renewal efforts within the c. 1959 former Poultry Science Building, now known as Building #1013 following relocation of the Poultry Science Department to the new Poultry Science Complex. The north wing is anticipated to be renovated for research programs in Integrative Precision Agriculture and the south wing will be renovated as an instructional hub. Building system replacements and code-oriented upgrades will advance reuse of this mid-century science facility for these renovated purposes. Provision of active learning classrooms and collaborative study spaces is a key anticipated programmatic element, advancing the university¿s 2025 Strategic Plan goal to ¿enhance infrastructure and support for evidence-based teaching methods across the curriculum.¿ -- This Qualification Based Selection will be completed in two Stages (also referred as "steps" in this event and in attached documents); Stage I: Request for Qualifications and Stage II: Request for Proposals (From Qualified Finalists). The University will evaluate and select several qualified firms from the response submittals in Stage I and notify the finalist firms to proceed to Stage II. The University will then post Stage II documents, conduct a mandatory pre-proposal site visit, evaluate/review the submitted request for proposals and interview all qualified firms. Once the awarded firm has been selected, the University will complete the contracting process.
