This is a SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of potential contractors who can provide, install, and service a Mass Spectrometer with Triple Quadrupole (Tandem Quadrupole) and Linear Ion Trap Capability Interfaced with an Ultra High Performance/Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (UHPLC) instrument. The information provided will be for planning purposes only and shall not be interpreted as an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Quote (RFQ). This sources sought notice does not constitute as an agreement or a contract with the Government. This sources sought notice does not commit the Government to pay any cost for the preparation and submission of any information pertaining to this source sought notice. The sole intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain capabilities for information and planning purpose only. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a fixed price contract to purchase a Mass Spectrometer With Triple Quadrupole (Tandem Quadrupole) and Linear Ion Trap Capability Interfaced with an Ultra High Performance/Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (UHPLC) Instrument for the FDA laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia. The FDA will use the instrument for analyses of diverse classes of micronutrients in complex food matrices. The instrument (equipment) will perform analysis of water, soluble vitamins thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, folic acid, and cobalamins (B12)), fat soluble vitamins (including vitamin A, D, E, and K) and derivatives, cholesterols, and other related compounds, sugars, sugar alcohols, other lipid related compounds (including glycerides, triglycerides, and steroids), allergenic proteins, and other food samples. The contractor must deliver, install, set-up, and provide one (1) day training for the new instrument. This source sought notice will determine the availability of potential businesses that can provide Mass Spectrometer With Triple Quadrupole (Tandem Quadrupole) and Linear Ion Trap Capability Interfaced with an Ultra High Performance/Pressure Liquid Chromatograph (UHPLC) Instrument. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 is for the proposed requirement and the applicable size standard (in the number of employee) is 500 employees. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the capabilities of business that can meet this acquisition. Interested contractors are encouraged to submit a capabilities statement that describes their ability to support attached DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) for this requirement.
