Question:
What are the Contractor facility access requirements when making deliveries?

Answer:
The NCNR recives gas deliveries often so there is a memo at the Bldg. 301 truck inspection station with the names of the usual drivers. This allows the driver to obtain a site pass without having to put their names into the visitor registration system. If a driver shows up whose name is not on the approved list then the NCNR is contacted and are required to manually place their name into the system. As for all visitors to NIST a valid form of government issed ID is required to obtain access. When a gas delivery arrives at NIST they are sent to the truck inspection station so that the NIST police can perform their necessary security checks. After the truck is cleared, they are clear to deliver to Bldg. 235.

Question:
What are the days and hours for deliveries and are delivered expected to be made on weekends and/or holidays?

Answer:
Delivery hours are from 0630 to 1530 Monday through Friday not including Federal Holidays. Deliveries are not required on weekends. The 72 hour delivery requirement does not include weekends i.e. If a delivery order is placed on a Thursday delivery is not expected until the following Tuesday.
