The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Unarmed Guard Services for the inmate population of the Federal Prison Camp, Duluth, Minnesota. The contract period shall consist of one base year from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 and four 12- month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. It is estimated the contractor will provide 600escorted medical trips and 2650 sessions of unarmed guard services per year. A session is defined as one hour in duration. The solicitation will be available on or about May 12, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.ccr.gov.
