The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to SIRSI Corporation, on other than full and open competitive basis a maintenance contract for Unicorn Software, Model III and Optional Extended Services. Contract coverage includes the following: Authority Control, Bibliographic and Inventory Control, BRS Search Engine, Circulation Control, Enhanced Public Access, Enhanced Researcher Access, iLINK Research, Information Gateway, InfoView-Terminals/MSDOS, Intelligent Interface, MARC Import/Export Utilities, Pro-Cite Catalog Interface, Request Module, RMD-Single Vendor, Serials Control, SmartPort Concurrent User, WebCat World Wide Reference, Workflows Staff Clients, X12 Transaction Manager, Z39.50 Host Client Manager, and 3M Self-check. (Microsoft IE required). Additional specifications will appear in the RFQ. Sole source is based proprietary to SIRSI Corporation. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
