The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a sole source purchase order in the amount of $650,000 to maintain Unisys Clearpath Plus Libra Model 595 servers to include the hardware and software maintenance, utilizing Part 13 of the FAR, Simplified Acquisition procedures, and the test program authorized in FAR subpart 13.5, and the Patent and Trademark Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG). In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, 10.U.S.C 2304 (c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), Unisys is the hardware and software developer, the only source for their proprietary hardware licenses for the Unisys ClearPath Plus Libra Model 595 servers, therefore, Unisys is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation will be issued as a result.
