This is a Request for Information (RFI) pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.

Objective

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is searching for potential sources that are capable of performing the requirements set forth in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW). The intent of this RFI is to gauge industry interest, capabilities and relevant experience to meet the requirement titled: "Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) for Undersea Research."

The NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information:

1) Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC)
2) Telephone Number, Fax Number, Address and e-mail address of POC
3) Company Cage Code and DUNS number
4) Business Size and number of employees with proposed NAICS and PCS code
5) Capabilities statement and relevant company and personnel experience in the task areas listed in the draft SOW.
6) Please specify if subcontracting possibilities exist and/or if all tasks can be performed in house
7) NRL will consider any comments regarding the draft SOW to provide clarification for final draft of the documents.

Other Information

This is anticipated to be a 5 year period of performance effort. Location of Work to be performed will be at the Naval Research Laboratory- Washington D.C. 20375-5320.

Past Performance Information

Please provide in the response a list of Navy, DoD or Federal contracts supported during the past 36-months with a brief description of the service provided for each contract. Only list contracts with effort similar to those detailed in the draft SOW.

Anticipated Type of Contract

A Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract is anticipated for this RFI.
