NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, ALOSH, Morgantown, WV, Division of Safety Resarch, Protective Technology Branch hereby announces its intent to issue a purchase order to Vicon Motion Systems, Inc. for the following:

• The camera must record 1120 x 896 full frame greyscale pixels at speeds of up to 250 fps.
• The cameras must have speed capabilities up to 2000Hz.
• The cameras must have 2-D on-board tracking.
• The cameras must utilize a custom fabricated Vegas-1 sensor, not a commercial off the shelf sensor.
• The cameras must have 3 on-board processors.
• The system must use passive retro-reflective markers, to allow freedom of subject movement.
• The system must use Near InfraRed strobed cameras at 780nm, to allow data collection under normal indoor lighting..
• The system must be capable of capturing, storing to disc, and displaying synchronized movie data from a color video camera.1 Each

Information received in response to this announcement will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with Vicon Motion Systems, Inc, 7388 S Revere Parkway, Suite 901, Centennial, CO 80112-3997 as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
