The USDA, ARS, LSO intends to purchase an oracle NMR unit and software for a fat analysis upgrade from CEM Corporation, 3100 Smith Farm Rd., Matthews, NC 28106-0200. This upgrade is for assigned research, instrumentation is needed to provide rapid and direct measurements of fat content in a variety of meat samples. The system must provide NMR-based fat analysis and not require method development or daily calibrations. The system must have the ability to analyze fat content rapidly (< 1 min per sample). The system hardware and software must have the capacity to be integrated with the CEM SMART 6 Moisture/Solids Analyzer system.

The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government. PAYMENT: Any award made under this solicitation is subject to 31 CFR Part 208 which requires all payments made by the government to be made by electronic funds transfer. Please note on your proposal if you will accept a government purchase (VISA) card.
