The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific, in support of the 121st Community Support Hospital and outlying areas in Korea, intends to make a sole source award to Rees Scientific Corporation for the purchase of additional node licenses, software, network devices and modules to upgrade the current Rees Enterprise Centron Temperature Monitoring System to meet DIACAP standards and permit AES encryption for compliance with the DoD network requirements. DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) accreditation, Authorization to Operate (ATO) with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), and ISO 9001:2008 certification is required to operate on the DoD networks.

The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which authorizes the government to award contracts when the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334519. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
