THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with the Monash University for the United States Applied General Equilbrium (USAGE) Project in accordance with FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii). This Notice of Intent is being published IAW FAR 5.201(a). Therefore, no solicitation document is available. The proposed procurement will assist the USITC in augmenting its dynamic, highly disaggregated computable general equilibrium (CGE) model of the United States economy, by adding occupational and state-level detail, by updating its data to include statistics for 1997 and 2002 to its original 1997 database, to support training in the model’s use, and to validate its results by measuring them against outside data. The USITC anticipates making an award for 1 base year and 4 option years. The expected performance date will begin in August 2008. Written responses to this synopsis must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. All responses are on a voluntary basis. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information to this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of USITC.
