This combined synopsis/solicitation HSCG80-14-Q-P45286 for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotes incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-71. This solicitation is for 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS is 336611, with a size standard of 1000.

A. REQUIREMENT: VENDOR SHALL PROVIDE A LONG BLOCK PARTS KIT FOR THE CGC DECISIVE NO 2. SHIP'S SERVICE DIESEL GENERATOR. THE COAST GUARD WILL RETURN ALL USED COMPONENTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GASKETS, FILTERS, THERMOSTATS AND ENGINE MOUNTS WHICH ARE CONSIDERED CONSUMABLES. THE CORES SHALL BE INSPECTED AND IF FOUND SATISFACTORY, THE COAST GUARD SHALL RECEIVE CREDIT TOWARDS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE REQUEST. THE USCG WILL RETURN CORES WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF REPLACEMENT PARTS.  ALL PARTS MUST BE OEM.

THE USCG IDEAL RECOMMENDED WARRANTY FOR THIS PURCHASE IS A ONE YEAR PERIOD OR 1500 OPERATING HOURS TO COVER ANY DEFECTIVE PARTS AND RETURN SHIPPING COSTS OF DEFECTIVE PARTS.

Award of a contract will be based on the following criteria: The purchase order will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5.
