The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business concerns ( SDVOSB) or for Small Businesses. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for Dockside repairs to the USCGC MACKINAW (WLBB 30) and is home ported in Cheboygan, MI. All work will be performed at the vessels homeport. The performance period is forty-two (42) calendar days with a start date on or about 19 August 2008. This work will include, but is not limited to hyrostatic test fire hoses, clean & inspect MN diesel generator air intakes, clean exhaust stack piping & spark arrestor, clean sewage & grey water piping system; inter-compartment noise abatement survey, modify cooling system for ICG/GCMS space, modify potable water system and test CO2 Bottles. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a Small Business set aside.
