The United States Coast Guard, SFLC-CPD C&P2-IBCT PL, proposes to contract the planned dockside repairs of USCGC MAPLE (WLB-207), a 225' "B CLASS" SEAGOING BUOY TENDER. All work shall be at Naval Station Everett, 2000 West Marine View Drive, Everett, WA 98207 during the 56 day availability, period of performance 27 March 2012 through 22 May 2012. Work items include but are not limited to: Controllable Pitch Propeller, OD Box Repairs; SW Heat Exchangers, clean, inspect and hydro; Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, clean; Potable Water Pneumatic Tank, Clean and Inspect; Compressed Air Receivers, Clean, Inspect, and Test; Hydraulic Chain Stoppers, Overhaul; Cross deck Winches, Overhaul; Hydraulic Inhaul Winch, Overhaul; Mechanical Chain Stoppers, Overhaul; Anchor Windlass, Overhaul; Warping Capstan, Overhaul; Buoy and Cargo Handling Crane Wire Rope, Renew; Decks - Exterior (Buoy) Preserve; Temporary Messing and Berthing, Provide; Grey Water Valves, Overhaul; Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, Commercial Clean; MDE Turbochargers, Clean and Inspect; Sea Water System Valves, Overhaul; Refrigeration System Compressor, Overhaul; Chain Locker, Preserve; MDE Governor, Renew and Calibrate; and temporary services.
On or about 30 December 2011, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The acquisition will be solicited as a Small Business Set-aside. Only certified 100% Small Business contractors may submit a quote. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
