Amendment 000002, dated July 31, 2012 revises the language in NRCS Materials Specification 402 Planting Trees and Shrubs section 2. Materials, paragraph 6.  See the attached amendment for details of the language change.

The bid opening is extended by one week.  The new bid opening date is Friday, August 10, 2012, 2:30 PM Eastern Time.

Amendment 000001, dated July 13, 2012 revises the original solicitation. The changes are reflected in the information below.  In addition, this amendment incorporates the corrected NRCS specifications as attached.  The previous version is obsolete and should NOT be used for bidding purposes. A revised map for bid item 03 is attached.  The site showing minutes and attendees are also attached.

USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Kentucky is requesting services under a Firm-Fixed Price contract for wetland restoration consisting of planting bare root tree seedlings on 3 EWP-FPE sites located in the following counties of Kentucky: Ballard and Hickman. The successful contractor will be required to perform site preparation work, purchase the bare root seedlings, and plant the tree seedlings according to NRCS contract specifications. The contract calls for the purchase of 164,750 tree seedlings that will be planted on approximately 327.0 acres. Type of site preparation for all sites will include the following:
 
327.0 acres of mowing to a height of 8 inches, followed by a chemical application of 1.0 ounce of Oust over the entire 327.0 acres at time of planting if seedlings are planted after March 1, 2013, or after planting and before the seedling buds break dormancy if the seedlings were planted before March 1, 2013.

This solicitation is restricted and has been set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation, specifications, map, wage determination and experience questionnaire are listed with this announcement.

One site showing will be held. The site showing will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 starting at the Hickman County NRCS Service Center, 205 State Route 123 W, Clinton KY 42031 at 9:00 A.M.
