The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Maury Microwave Corp, located in Ontario, CA. The Government intends to procure qty. (55) each of Maury model 8025A1 3.5mm (F) to TNC(F) and model 8025B1 3.5mm (F) to TNC(M) adapters for use with an upgraded Instrument Calibration Procedure (ICP) for the USM-670 Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester (JSECST) under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. NSWC Corona, the requiring activity for NAVAIR Calibration issues, evaluated a modification to the JSECST ICP and specified that two precision 3.5 mm to TNC adapters are required in Navy calibration facilities to support the upgraded JSECST ICP. Maury Microwave Corporation is the only vendor that can meet the requirement for the precision 3.5mm to TNC adapters. The Government does not own sufficient data to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
