THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the upcoming Regular Overhaul / Dry Docking (ROH) for the USNS WALTER S. DIEHL (T-AO 193). The period of performance for this requirement is on/about 04 January 2022 and continuing for a period of 180 calendar days. The USNS WALTER S. DIEHL has a length of 677 Ft 6 In, a Beam of 97 ft and 6 in, Draft of 36 ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration is East/Gulf Coast.
Major work items associated with this availability include: Misc Steel Repairs, Tank Preservation, Unrep Station Repair Work (Foundations), Fan Room Steel Replacement, Tank Rafting Inspections, Removal Degaussing System, Replace Cargo Stowage Tie-Down Securing Fittings, Drydocking and Undocking the Vessel, Generator Cleaning and Inspection, Aux Boil Coil Replace and Annual Inspection, Freeboard Preservation, Replace Stbd Main Engine Exhaust Expansion Joint, TAO187 CSI Close Up Survey and Inspection, 02 Deck Steel Replacement, Tank Vent Inspection, Clean Port and Stbd Main Engine Sump, 06 Lvl Plenum Steel Replacement, Propeller System Maintenance, Renew Steel Piping and Piping Supports.
After issuance, solicitation and supporting documents will be made available on the Government Point of Entry website www.Beta.Sam.Gov.
This requirement will be solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside.
The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 06 August 2021. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted at Beta.Sam.Gov. All requests must provide DUN & Bradstreet number and Cage Code.
The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of synopsis.
