The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Dresser-Rand to replace Marotta Valve in support of the USS DECATUR (DDG-73). Work to be accomplished at Naval Base San Diego. Contractor shall remove existing shipboard Marotta Valve. Install, and set pressure in accordance with manufacturer's technical requirements. Operationally test Ready for Issue (RFI) Class A Conditioned Marotta Valve. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the business size standard is 1,250 employees. The Government identified Dresser Rand as the contractor that Marotta Controls, Inc (original equipment manufacturer) has acknowledged is Marotta's Exclusive Repair and Overhaul Service Representative for the Military Marine Industry covering the West Coast and Pacific Island Territories of the United States. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency.
