The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement Contract N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell Boeing Joint Program Office on an ‘other than full and open' competitive basis to upgrade the current RT-1861C AN/APX-119 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system to the latest RT-1861D configuration which will incorporate Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast Out (ADS-B Out) capabilities. This effort will require a part number roll, as well as associated Retrofit Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) in order to facilitate the incorporation of the RT-1861D AN/APX-119 IFF onto the CV-22 Osprey. The updated software is being accomplished under a separate contracting effort.
