NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Steighner Crane Service, 251 Simon Dr, Butler, PA 16002. This vendor has moved the equipment once before between Magnetics Technology facilities, and therefore they are familiar with the process. The companies are close in proximity which will reduce the cost of travel. The crating will be performed at Steighner Crane Service in Butler to reduce noise and dust at the Magnetics Technology Center.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisitions set forth in FAR Part 13.

The Sole Source is under the Authority of FAR Reference 13.106-1(b)7.
