This office is seeking price quotes from vendors capable of providing fully contractor operated and maintained aircraft consisting of one (1) or two (2) Bell 206 BIII, Hughes 500 (MD369E), or equivalent to perform aerial ignition with a helitorch .The Contractor must hold a current Federal Aviation Administration Air Carrier operating certificate for the category and class of aircraft required and provided under the Aviation Management ARA. FAA certification under 14CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations is required. The contractor will also be required to provide one Batch Mix truck that is carded or is capable of being carded by the Aerial Ignition group. Work will be in support of the Bureau of Land Management Lakeview District. The Chewaucan Burn Project is a Wildland Urban Interface project located adjacent to the town of Paisley, Oregon. Current treated fuels within the unit consist of downed piles of juniper. There are approximately 9,000 acres of fuels that need to be treated. Estimated project duration is seven days with two aircraft. Flight time is estimated at approximately 4 hours for each aircraft per day.
