Sealed bids for the electrical improvements of the Valdosta Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Switchgear Replacement will be received by the City of Valdosta (City) at the office of the City Utility Department, 1016 Myrtle Street, Valdosta, GA 31601-5780 until 2:00 PM, local time, June 3, 2021 and at that time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the City of Valdosta Water Treatment Plant, 3863 Guest Road, Valdosta, GA 31605 on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM local time. A site visit will be performed after the Pre-Bid Conference. The Base Bid work consists of electrical upgrades to the Valdosta Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that includes the demolition of the existing 15KV Main Switchgear (4SWGR1) and construction of a new switchgear per the supplied plans and contract documents. Any questions regarding the procurement documents or process shall be directed to David Frost, Assistant Utility Director, [email protected], 229-259-3592. In order not to provide an unfair advantage to a particular Bidder, all questions must be brought to the City’s attention at least 10 business days prior to the bid date. Questions received after this date cannot be considered. All responses to questions will be presented in the form of a written addendum.
