STATEMENT OF WORK
The Virology & Emerging Infections Department of the U.S. Naval Medical and Research Unit No. 6 (NAMRU-6) performs febrile and respiratory surveillance in study sites around Peru and Latin America aiming at collecting human samples for the detection of pathogens such as influenza virus, adenovirus, Metapneumovirus, Enterovirus, Rhinovirus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Mayaro virus, Alphaviruses (Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV), Western equine encephalitis virus (WEEV), Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV), Mayaro virus (MAYV), Una virus (UNAV), Trocara virus (TROCV) RNA, Oropouche virus, Arenavirus (Tacaribe), Dengue virus and SARS-CoV-2.
In order to meet study objectives, VEID researchers need to ship a large variety of laboratory supplies to study sites so they have all materials ready for sample collection and processing.
Laboratory supplies will be shipped at room temperature to the following sites:
- Meta, Colombia
- Asunción, Paraguay
- Medellín, Colombia
- Cartagena, Colombia
Supplies to be shipped include: FilmArray instruments and laptops, UPS devices, FilmArray Respiratory Panels, FilmArray Global Fever Panel Tests, sample collection materials, sample storage supplies, lab wear, among others.
All above materials, though shipped at room temperature, are sensitive material, and in some destinations, require some special customs treatment, which vendor should be aware of, manage, and timely communicate to NAMRU-6 so we have everything ready to prevent delays.
Vendor contracted should be able to assist NAMRU-6 with all documentation and processes needed at each site where supplies will be shipped.
Service is expected to be rendered as soon as a contract award is made.
