SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION) VINSON/ANDVT CRYPTOGRAPHIC MODERNIZATION (VACM) PRODUCTION The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic Systems Division, Communications Security Branch (AFLCMC/HNCC) is seeking potential sources that are able to manufacture the following NSA Type-1 Communications Security (COMSEC) VACM devices: KY-57M, KY-58M, KY-99M, KY-100M and KYV-5M, and associated services and depot spares. The VACM devices are a new product line, which provide a single NSA Type-1 certified crypto module that will be common to all VACM devices. This effort will provide form/fit replacements for the existing legacy items for current and future Department of Defense, its customers, other Government Agencies, and Foreign Military Sales. The VACM devices are proprietary in nature and the Government does not own full data rights to the design. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any Government assessments. Firms responding to this notice shall indicate whether or not they are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1 and indicate if they are 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, HUB Zone Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, and HBCU/MI.
