This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). This RFI announcement is for information and planning purposes only and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
The Government does not intend to award a contract strictly on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. The information received will not obligate the Government in any manner nor will the Government reimburse contractors for any costs associated with submittal of the requested information. This request does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ).
Market research information received from Industry in response to this RFI will be considered for formulation of the Government's acquisition strategy.
This RFI is being issued by the Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) on behalf of the Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC). CECOM SEC is seeking to implement an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) for VMware software as described in the chart below. The software listed in the ‘renewal’ category of the attached spreadsheet was previously issued under a contract held by the Army Materiel Command (AMC). Renewal identification information is unknown at the current time. See below questions for specific areas of support/concern.
At a minimum, the following will be included in all responses:
-Responses should include the company name, CAGE code, company socio-economic status, point of contact, email address and physical address. If your submission is based upon a GSA, CHESS or NASA SEWP contract, indicate the contract number in your response. Indicate statement of interest and provide information required above.
