This contract action is for the purchase of Volcano professional software for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304 (a) (1).  This will be a fixed price purchase order.  Based on FBI market research, it has been determined that Volcano Professional Software is the only source to meet the FBI's requirement and no other supplies or services will satisfy the sgency's requirements.  Veloxity is the sole maunfacturer and seller of Volcano Professional software and it not available through GSA or NASA SEWP distributors.
