OVERVIEW: Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated §§50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) on behalf of Augusta Technical College (ATC) to establish a one-time purchase with one authorized supplier who will provide a VRTEX 360 Welding Trainer to their Welding and Joining Technology Program (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFQ. The Welding and Joining Technology Program at Augusta Technical College is seeking to purchase three additional Lincoln Electric VRTEX 360 Welding Simulators, three VRTEX 360 Oxyfuel Upgrade Kits, and curriculum materials for student instruction within their welding labs. Substitutions will not be considered for this purchase. This welder will be utilized to train students for course testing and to simulate Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), which are necessary to graduate from the ATC Welding Technology program.
