U.S. Army Space Command intends to issue a contract to Mobile Mini Inc, Colorado Springs, CO through solicitation no. W91260-05-T-0015 pursuant to the authority of FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13.501(a) ?Sole Source Acquisitions?. Mobile Mini Inc will be pr oviding rental of two (2) 24'x 60' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers for US Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC) Battle Lab, Colorado Springs CO for additional year and rental of an additional 12' x 60' Modular Office Trailer for SMDC Battle Lab for one year. Period of Performance is 30 Sep 2005 - 29 Sep 2006 for all three (3) office trailers. The required rental of the additional 12' x 60' office trailer includes skirting, delivery, setup, teardown, and return. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. The proposed contra ct action is for lease/rental for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The two (2) 24' x 6 0' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers are currently rented from Mobile Mini Inc and in use by SMDC Battle Lab. Mobile Mini Inc is the only source capable of providing rental renewal for these two existing office trailers for an additional year. A justific ation for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition to the extent consistent with a sole source acquisition. Offerors shall in clude a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
