NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Olympus America Inc., 3500 Corporate Pkwy, Center Valley, PA 18034 for the lease of Olympus scopes accompanied with a service maintenance agreement. The anticipated period of performance is August 1, 2020 through July 31, 2021 with a provision of two (2) option years.
The following Olympus scopes shall be leased, for a minimum of 36 months, through an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified dealer:

The service maintenance agreement for the Olympus scopes shall provide the following:
Full repair coverage with no cap for all contracted equipment, including accidental damage
All repairs shall be performed by an OEM certified trained technician
Expedited turn-around time of 24-48 hours for repairs
Next day shipping in both directions at no extra charge
24/7 telephone technical support.
24/7 access to online repair management information through the Olympus website service portal
On-site periodic and on-demand training and support by an OEM certified technician
NAICS Code is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 Employees. The classification code is W065 Lease-Medical Equipment. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
