Construct Pallet Building

 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for construction of a pre-engineered Metal Building, approximately 4500 SF, with metal wall panels on the back and sides of the building.  The front of the building will be left open for the purpose of loading soldiers’ gear prior to deployment into transport trucks from pallets laid out on the floor of the structure. Building will have an approximately 1800 SF mezzanine across the back of the building.  Mezzanine will consist of concrete on metal deck supported by steel columns and beams.  Building is unconditioned but has lights, power outlets on columns and high volume, low velocity fans.  Eave height of building will be 25’ with a single slope metal roof at 1:12 pitch.  Floor will be existing concrete slab on grade. Existing slab will be sawcut as required to pour new footing for steel columns. Furnishing will include Heavy Duty Warehouse shelving and a 10’ x 10’ lockable wire mesh cage.  Contractor will provide and install step-down transformer and disconnect switch, conduit and conductors to Sandhills transformer.  Sandhills will make the tie-in to their transformer.  Building is not required to be sprinklered.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the size standard is $39,500,000.00. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.

The proposal due date is specified in the solicitation. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.

This is a 100% HUBZone small business set-aside.
