Notice of Intent to purchase Brand Name IT Equipment under Army CHESS contracts.  This requirement is for "Steelhead" WAN acceleration equipment to enhance USACE's bandwidth. The procurement is for the hardware, software and the required maintenance. It is intended to purchase these items by awarding a competitive firm fixed price delivery order through CHESS. Delivery is required 30 days after award of the order and the equipment has to be on the Governments Approved Products List (APL). Market research has revealed that more than one ITES-3H contract holder can provide the required equipment and support. In accordance with the CHESS ordering guidelines, Fair opportunity will be given to all CHESS ITES-3H IDIQ contractors. A brand name justification has been approved and is being posted on CHESS along with the RFQ. Procurement must be made from CHESS in accordance with AFARS 5139.101
