The Food and Drug Administration's Office of Acquisition and Grant Services intends to issue a sole source award to Waters Technologies Corporation of Milford, MA for the purchase of Waters NanoFlow capability kit, item # 176002507, Synapt G2si Nano lockSpray Accessory, Item # 176003139 for Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) System, including shipping, Qty. of 1 each.
Functional Specifications include:
Fully compatible with an existing Waters Synapt G2si HD Mass Spectrometer
i. Must be controllable via Intellistart / MassLynx interface of a Waters Synapt G2si-MS
ii. Allows for nanospray ionization, with sample introduction on the order of nL/min (less than 1 µL/min)
iii. Allows for infusion of a lock mass internal mass calibrant on the nano-scale level
iv. Features adjustable component, camera and LED light source for optimization of source positioning
v. Includes NanoSpray compatibility kit for Synapt HDMS
vi. Power requirement of 100 to 240 VAC at 50-60Hz (through the Synapt HDMS instrument)

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The estimated dollar value for this action is not to exceed $24,500. The projected award date is August 29, 2014.
