The purpose of this RFI is to obtain input, gather knowledge, new ideas, best practices and information from the vendor community regarding the potential procurement of a WiFi as a Service (WaaS). Information gathered from this RFI will assist the City in determining system requirements, project scope, project timetable, general project cost, and City resources needed for a WaaS. The City is interested in learning more about the WaaS t h a t is currently available to provide a monthly service that consist of all infrastructure hardware and certified support staff to allow for an enterprise WiFi solution. This input will assist the City in its preparation of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and subsequent contract. The Department of Technology and Innovation (T&I) of the City of Tampa (City) requests information concerning options and issues associated with implementing, a comprehensive WiFi as a Service (WaaS) throughout the City of Tampa major departments.
