The GCCM, CDM Constructors, intends to bid on this package so all bids for this subpackage will be received by the City of Seattle. Bids for the scope of work under this Bid Package will be received by the City of Seattle. Box 94687 Seattle, WA 98124-4687 Bids will be accepted until the date and time indicated above. All bids received until that time will be publicly opened and read aloud thereafter by the Owner. Faxed and E-mailed bids will not be accepted. Bids received after the date and time stated above will not receive consideration. Bids must be submitted utilizing the attached BID FORM. Successful bidders for this work will subcontract directly with CDM. CDM is an equal opportunity employer and requests bids from all interested firms including disadvantaged, minority, women, and disabled veterans and emerging small business enterprises. In accordance with 39.10.390, the GC/CM may bid to self-perform subcontract work under this project up to thirty percent of the maximum allowable construction cost. Notice is hereby given that CDM Constructors intends to submit a competitive bid to self-perform the work under this package. The City will manage the bidding process for this bid package. The Bid Documents are available to prospective bidders to download from the City of Seattle's eBid Exchange at http://www.ebidexchange.com/seattle and also from Northwest Contractors Network (NWCN) at http://nwcontractorsnetwork.com/ (files downloaded from NWCN are at no charge; prospective bidders are encouraged to register for the planholders list). Should Bidders require print copies of the Bid Documents, they may be requested from the local ARC branch for the cost of printing. Access ARC's Planwell site at http://www.olyrepro.com Click on the "Enter Public Planroom" button to access the bid documents. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, money order, cashier's check, or certified check in the amountof 5 percent of the Bid. Bid bonds will be required on bids with amounts exceeding $300,000. All Bidders will be required to attend one (1) of the two (2) mandatory pre-bid meetings to be held on January 17th and 23th in order to acquaint themselves with the project conditions under which the work is to be performed and to correlate personal observations with the requirements of the contract documents. Bidders may attend either one of the pre-bid meetings held at the following times: January 17th at 1:00pm - 2:30pm or January 23th at 1:00pm - 2:30pm. The pre-bid meetings will be hosted by SPU at the following location: Magnuson Park (The Brig) - Garden Room 6344 NE 74th St. Seattle, WA 98115 Scope of Work: The Bidder will submit a lump sum price to construct the mechanical systems for the CSO structure located at 6345 NE 65th St. Work included under this package will be intermittent and scheduled by the GC/CM to coordinate with the work of other trades. Multiple mobilizations will be required. The successful Bidder and CDM Constructors, Inc. will enter into a Subcontract Agreement to supply all materials and construct the HVAC system complete.
