THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. This notice is for the purpose of obtaining price quotes for purchase of wireless barcode scanning devices and accessories to be used in interagency fire support caches. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-024B-S-16-0013 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses of those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-87, This procurement is being issued as a full and open. The Associated North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this request is 334519 with a size standard 500 employees or less. The results of this requirement will be a firm fixed priced (FFP) contract. The right to make multiple or no award is reserved in the event it is advantageous to the Government to do so. Items called for by this RFQ have been identified in the schedule by brand name or equal. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. Objective:
The Forest Service and its interagency partners currently use Motorola MC9090G mobile computers in its network of fire supply caches to scan barcode product (SKU) and location labels to track inventory. These devices are nearing the end of their life cycle.
The Zebra TC8000 mobile computer has been selected as the product best meeting the needs of users.
