The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) is seeking proposals for concept design(s) and installation of Inter-Car Barriers (ICB) system for the Kawasaki 7000 (7K) Series rail cars. The ICB system will prevent riders from falling between rail cars onto the track while the train is berthed at the station and relieve operators of additional duties required by the spring barriers currently installed.
