The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) operates a fleet of approximately 1600 buses as part of its multi-modal public transportation service to the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. This fleet is comprised of clean diesel, battery electric, hybrid diesel electric and compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered buses provided by multiple bus manufacturers. WMATA typically purchases between 100 to 130 new buses each fiscal year, subject to available funding, with the actual number being subject to change from year to year. In accordance with WMATA policy, each new bus requires a Post Delivery Inspection (PDI) of major components, to be performed by an OEM authorized dealer of the major component, prior to the bus being placed in revenue service. This SOW describes the level of service to be performed and minimal acceptable criterial that shall be met for PDI of the bus Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system.
