WMATA has compiled this follow-up Request for Information (RFI) to determine vendor capability, availability, and interest to fabricate and deliver up to 600 bus shelters to be located at WMATA¿s bus loops and rail stations in DC, MD, and VA based on the newly developed performance specification. The shelters in question are composed of stainless steel, aluminum or stainless steel and aluminum hybrid laminated glass, and light fixtures (bus information screens and solar panels will be provided by others). WMATA seeks to confirm industry availability to provide a constructible and cost-effective solution that meet the goals WMATA has set for the Metrobus shelter replacement performance specification.
