Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to contract to Women in Aviation International, 3647 State Route 503 S, West Alexandria, OH 45381. The Department of Defense (DoD) is energetically pursuing diversity through a magnitude of avenues to address barriers and issues impacting the full participation. The Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity, (ODMEO) requests the support of Women in Aviation International to contribute to increasing diversity in the Department of Defense (DoD) workplace through outreach and programs.
Women in Aviation International will provide the following deliverable(s):
•1. Access to WAI and its partner organizations at conferences and related events hosted by WAI. Potential speaking and host roles at events, when available and as appropriate.
•2. Attendance at VIP functions to build an influencer base
•3. 5 complimentary conference registrations
•o Recognition as a key supporting sponsor of WAI
•o Exhibit tables,10' x 10' exhibit booth space (WAI includes a 6' draped table, two chairs and a waste basket in the booth package
•o Full-page color ad in conference program booklets and special Aviation for Women - Conference Edition magazine
•o Logo branding on website, program and distributed material
•o Opportunity to distribute promotional items during the WAI events
•4. Co-host of the Pre-Banquet Reception, including 3-5 minutes DoD remarks at the Banquet.
This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 1100 AM EST, March 2, 2012. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
