NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (NASA/AFRC) intends to solicit and award a sole source contract under the authority (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" to Woodward MPC of Niles, IL for the purchase of two (2) P/N 3F1209H Throttle Quadrant Assemblies.

The contractor shall provide two new P/N 3F1209H Throttle Quadrant Assemblies to NASA/AFRC.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested sources may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the required throttle quadrant assemblies in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time on September 21, 2017. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
