Department of Veterans Affairs Desires to Lease Space The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) desires to lease between approximately 9,400 to 9,999 net usable square feet of space for use by the Marion VA Medical Center in the Carbondale, Illinois area. The space must be contiguous and on the ground level of the building. On-site parking for approximately 60 spaces is required. This space must meet the American with Disability Act (ADA) and other governing standards for persons with disabilities. A lease term of up to 10 years will be considered with a seven (7) year firm and a 180 days written notice to terminate lease after the seventh year. Location: To be considered, space must be within the following delineated area: North Boundary is Ready Mix Road South Boundary is Pleasant Hill R East Boundary is Giant City Road and Frontage Road West Boundary is New Era Road Properties with addresses inside the above boundary streets are deemed within the delineated area. Properties which face and have street addresses on the boundary streets are deemed to be within the delineated area. All properties must be within a walkable .5 mile of the Public Bus Transportation, in the city limits of Carbondale, and Jackson County, Illinois. A market survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by VA.
