The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to negotiate with Olympia Entertainment for use of the Masonic Temple in Detroit for a proposed concert event for veterans on February 12, 2011. The proposed action is for the use of the facility and the provision of services to facilitate a concert for area veterans. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This procurement is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the venue in question.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses received on or before December 23, 2010, will be considered.
