The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Government Scientific Source, Inc.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement described below.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the National Institutes of Health,  National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) anticipates issuing a purchase order to Government Scientificc Source, Inc. for the acquisition of a 10X Genomics Xenium Analyzer with Vibration Isolation Table.  The Xenium platform offers several advantages over other spatial transcriptomic options.  A large area of tissue, up to 12 x 24 mm can be imaged, and two different slides, each with this large imaging area, can be processed at the same time. This is important because all spatial transcriptomic approaches are particularly time intensive, with complete imaging runs taking between 2 and 4 days. The Xenium platform achieves comparably higher throughput because of larger tissue imaging, processing of multiple slides at one time and a shorter run time. As a result, three sample runs can be performed per week in the Xenium system. 

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.  However, any party that believes it can provide the equipment as stated herein may submit written specifications and capabilities.  A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued within five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another Contractor has the capability to meet this requirement.
